Hurricanes and Internet Security Issues are something that is very much on the mind of FEMA these days and they are calling it a potentially devastating electronic disaster or even a; Cyber Katrina if you will? How serious is this? Well consider floods in the basements of half of the agencies in Washington DC or consider flooding in NYC or Boston underground taking out major Internet Infrastructures and routing points. We already know that when this happens chaos ensues for local businesses. Now imagine that something like this happened in Los Angeles or the Bay Area due to an Earthquake and then the next thing you know a Hurricane Storm surge and then flooding does the same thing to the Northeast? See Ya, Internet and that is the scenario that they are calling a Cyber Katrina so you can see how Hurricanes and Internet Security Issues go together? What can we do to protect ourselves from such a disaster by Mother Nature or even a Cyber 911? Well this is something that is now concerning Department of Homeland Security these days and it is an issue that must be addressed and one we must prepare for as a nation. So what is currently being done these days? Nothing, absolutely notion, so are you scared yet?
